Xianger

Xianger is an artist and designer based in Shenzhen, China. He has a background in architecture and holds a master’s degree from Kobe University, Japan. His practice spans photography, moving image, ceramics, and spatial practice. Beginning with materials, places, and embodied experience, Guo explores the relationships between perception, scale, time, and matter through sustained observation, the making of images, and material processes. He examines how things are seen and understood, and how memory, experience, and the construction and presentation of images shape this process. Each project develops its own line of inquiry. Cosmic Drift explores scale indeterminacy and cognitive drift; Minus One examines the power relations between the body, looking, and visibility; and DIMENSION investigates how attrition and order shape one another, starting from the remnants of ceramic trimming. His ongoing long-term project, Hushed Reverberations, explores the conditions that enable appearance and how changes in these conditions alter the ways the world is experienced. 享耳 一位视觉艺术家与设计师，现工作于深圳。具有建筑学背景，获日本神户大学硕士学位。其创作涵盖摄影、影像、陶瓷与空间实践。 他的工作从具体的材料、场景与身体经验出发，通过持续观察、图像创作与材料操作，探索感知、尺度、时间和物质之间的关系。他关注事物如何被看见与理解，以及记忆、经验和图像的形成与呈现如何影响这一过程。 在不同项目中，他沿着各自的问题展开实践：「星河漫步」探索尺度的不确定性与认知漂移；「负一」追问身体、观看与可见性之间的权力关系；「重」从陶瓷修坯残余出发，研究消磨与秩序的相互塑造。持续进行的长期项目「静默的回响」，则探讨显现赖以成立的条件，以及这些条件发生变化时，世界如何以不同方式进入经验。

In 2022, Xianger founded PINGLY, a personal brand offering exhibition spatial and visual design, alongside brand visual design services. The brand also encompasses GUOOUG for artistic practice and XIANG craft_lab for art products. 2022 年创立个人品牌「平夜六日」，专注于艺术展览空间与视觉设计，以及品牌视觉设计服务。品牌旗下包含 GUOOUG 艺术作品单元及 XIANG craft_lab 艺术产品单元。
